Commissioner guide

Every admin capability, what it does, and how to reach it. The Admin tab is only visible to accounts marked Admin.

What runs without you

All of this happens whether or not anyone opens the site.

When (ET)What happens
Tue 9:00 amGrades out the week that just ended, then pulls and posts lines for the new week. The board locks right after: nothing moves again for the rest of the week, though a brand-new game can still appear.
~2:00 am, nightlySweeps scores and grades any games that finished the day before — covers Saturday, Sunday, and Monday night football without a dedicated cron for each.
Two guarantees worth trusting

Every step is safe to re-run. Publishing lines only rewrites an existing number until Tuesday's cron locks the week right after its own pull — after that, re-running "Fetch lines" can only add a brand-new game. Fetching scores never disturbs another week.

Your corrections always win. Anything you set by hand is flagged manual and is never overwritten by an automatic fetch or re-grade.

This Week tab

Everything time-boxed to running one week's slate lives here, behind a shared week picker at the top and a stack of sections you expand as you need them — so the page is one screen, not a maze of tabs, but doesn't dump everything on you at once.

The three steps

Run them in that order if you're doing a week by hand. Each reports what it did.

Badges to review

After a week is fully graded — every game Final, same gate that unlocks missed-pick penalties — the site proposes badges: Perfect Week, Ice Cold, No-Show, Hot/Cold Streak week to week, and Iron Man / Most Improved once the season's last week is graded. A number on the section header means something's waiting.

Nothing is visible until you approve it Every automatic proposal lands in pending review first. Players see nothing on their profile or the Talk tab's achievements strip until you approve it — a 0-fer week badge needs a human deciding that's funny, not a pile-on.

Everything already awarded — to revoke one — lives on the History tab instead, alongside the rest of the season's record.

Week board

Every player, every pick, every result for whichever week you select. This replaces scrolling the old Week_N tab.

Adding after kickoff You can add a pick to a game that has already started — a text may well arrive in time but be entered later. The pick is flagged late in the record so the history stays honest.
Only submitted picks score A pick a player made but never submitted is a no-show once its game starts — it is not graded and counts toward their missed-pick losses. Picks you enter for someone count as submitted immediately, since they reached you by text.
You can always override a submitted pick Submitting locks a pick for the player, not for you. Adding or removing on their behalf releases that lock.

Fix scores

Lists every game in the week with its current score. Tap one and enter the real final. It's marked a manual correction, so the automatic fetch will never overwrite it.

After correcting a score, run Grade week to apply it.

The odds feed only answers for games in the last three days — after that a result can't be fetched at all, only typed in here. Every scheduled run sweeps scores for exactly this reason, including the nightly one that runs every day of the week, so every game gets several chances inside its window regardless of which day it kicked off.

The banner at the top of the tab If any started game is still unscored you'll see it above the week picker — amber while automatic fetches can still get it, red once it has passed three days and has to be entered here by hand. If you ever see red, that score is gone from the feed and only you can supply it. A game only shows up here once it's had a few hours to plausibly be over — a game that just kicked off isn't missing a score, it just hasn't finished.

The join link

One link for everyone. Players enter their own name and choose their own username.

Managing people

ControlWhat it does
NameEdit in place. This is what shows on the rankings board and on their posts.
UsernameEdit in place. This is what they sign in with, so the old one stops working the moment you change it — tell them. They stay signed in wherever they already are.
Paid / UnpaidMarks the buy-in as collected. Unpaid players see a Venmo Pay button on their Picks tab; marking them paid removes it. The running total sits above the roster — "8 of 15 paid · $400 of $750". Tapping it back to Unpaid asks first, and both directions are written to the log.
Team dropdownAssigns someone to one of the teams (set up in the Teams card below).
Player / AdminToggles admin access. Admins get the Admin tab and every capability on this page.
Reset linkIssues a fresh 7-day link so they can set a new password. Use this when someone is locked out — you can't look up a password, nobody can.
RemoveDrops them from standings and blocks sign-in. Picks are kept. Reversible with Restore.
DeleteOnly offered once removed. Erases the account and every pick they made. Cannot be undone.
The last admin is protected The site refuses to remove admin from, or deactivate, the only remaining admin — there's no route back into the Admin tab from the site, so it would take a database edit to undo. Promote someone else first if you want to step down.

Requiring the buy-in

A checkbox under Venmo username: Require the buy-in before picks can be submitted. Off by default. Turning it on doesn't hide the board — unpaid players can still browse lines and select picks — it only blocks the Submit step, with a message pointing at the Pay button instead of a bare error.

Teams

Team names show on the rankings board. Tap a name in the Teams card to rename it — it saves when you tap away. Names have to be unique and under 30 characters. Add team and Remove change how many teams there are — remove doesn't touch anyone's picks, it just clears that team from their profile.

Randomize teams deals every active player across whatever teams exist, as evenly as possible, at random. Re-running reshuffles everyone from scratch, so do it once, after everyone has joined (and after the team count is what you want it to be). You can also set teams by hand from each player's dropdown.

History tab

Read-only reference — nothing here is a weekly task, it's what already happened.

Awarded badges

Every badge currently visible to players — approved automatic proposals and manual awards alike. Revoke removes one outright and immediately; unlike a pick or a score, a badge carries no history obligation once it's undone.

Export

Three CSV downloads that open in Excel or Sheets: this week's picks, the full season's picks, and the standings with NFL/college splits.

Download this week's board (PDF) is different — a styled, one-page-per- screenful PDF of every active player and what they've picked (and their record, once graded), built to actually share — a group chat, print it, whatever — rather than a screenshot of this admin table. Uses the same week selector as everything else on this page.

Logs

The odds feed has a monthly budget 500 credits a month on the free plan; the schedule spends about 104. Each line or score fetch costs 2. You'd have to mash the Run buttons very hard to run out, but the remaining balance is in the History tab if you ever want to check.

Talk — moderation

Every player can post and reply on the Talk tab. Authors manage their own; you can delete any post or reply from the same buttons everyone else sees. Deleting a post removes its replies too.

Removals you make on someone else's post are recorded in the History tab. Editing is deliberately author-only — you can take something down, but the site will not let you rewrite what someone said under their name.

Conferences

The picks board can filter by conference. The odds feed only sends team names, so the mapping lives in a table you can edit — no deploy needed if 2026 realignment moves someone.

All 134 FBS teams are mapped, plus AFC/NFC for the NFL. Anything unmapped shows as FCS / Other, which is correct for the FCS opponents that appear in early-season games. A non-conference game appears under both teams' conferences.

Season structure

18 weeks, running Tuesday to Monday, ending Jan 4. Six college and five NFL picks a week, with two unavoidable exceptions:

WeeksPicksWhy
